Her books make you feel every emotion you know...and in only so many pages. You care about the characters...you grow concerned for their well-being...she does her job in getting you mentally involved... I wrote to Sharon Shinn about a year ago. She wrote back. I wrote her back to thank her for that. A couple months ago I emailed her and she hit reply and send within a couple hours. I can't say Sharon Shinn and I are BFF's....but she seems very genuine, kind and wonderful. I wish I could meet her someday. Your post though, reminded me that I've been meaning to email her. I read her latest book int he Twelve Houses series. It was wonderful, as expected.
